Endyn Block Post Kits

Posting was developed decades ago by enterprising hot-rodders and NASCAR engine builders running blocks plagued with weak cylinders. I used the technique with Ford V8's in the 60's and 70's, and then adapted the same strengthening practice to my Honda engines 10 years ago. The posts pass through the water-jackets, mechanically-connecting the blocks exterior walls with the cylinders adding much-needed strength for engines running high cylinder pressures, without adversely affecting engine cooling.
The posts are positioned exactly on the cylinder centerlines with two on the major thrust axis and one on the minor thrust axis, and they effectively stop cylinder flex. We uses them in high HP normally-aspirated applications and forced-induction combinations running less than 20 psi. They are not as effective as aftermarket sleeves in applications where boost is higher than 20 psi or where extreme detonation occurs, however, they are an inexpensive way to add cylinder strength in most applications.
The posts are made from 356-T6 aluminum rod. We thread the rod, cut the posts, square the ends, add a screw-driver slot, and lightly etch them to enhance the sealing epoxy's mechanical grip. We recommend the use of Devcon Liquid Aluminum epoxy, as well as the use of acetone as a cleaning agent when preparing the block for posting.
Price for the set of 12 posts is $36.00 + shipping.
